Considerations for installing and deploying Notes on Linux
Before installing IBM® Lotus® Notes® on a Linux® client, you should be familiar with the following information.

Mail, calendar, and contact features are installed with Notes, including traditional Notes functionality. Additional features such as the IBM® Lotus® Symphony™, Connections, IBM® Lotus® Sametime® (integrated), and the Composite Application Editor can also be installed.

Notes is installed on Linux using either a deb package or an rpm package. For deb and rpm package file names, see "Installing and upgrading Notes on Linux" subtopics.
