Editing the Domino server user's DB2 ID properties
To edit the IBM® DB2 Universal Database™ Enterprise Server Edition user account name and password for the IBM® Lotus® Domino® server, you must have DB2 administrator privileges. This DB2 ID and password are the Domino server's user name and password that Domino uses to communicate with the DB2 server. The Domino server user account name and password were set during server enablement.

Use this procedure to edit the Domino server's DB2 ID properties for the Domino server. The user name and password are stored in the server's ID file.

1. From the Domino Administrator, click Configuration - Server.

2. Choose the server for which you are setting, modifying, or deleting DB2 server ID properties.

3. Click Tools - DB2 Server - Edit DB2 Login Information.

4. Complete these fields:

DB2 usernameEnter the user name for accessing the DB2 server.

Note If this field is not active, uncheck the "Update system account password" checkbox to activate the field.

DB2 passwordEnter the password for accessing the DB2 server.
DB2 password expirationSpecify the number of days the password is valid. When that number of days is exceeded, the password expires. If you do not want the password to expire, enter a zero (0).

  • If you are setting or modifying the DB2 password, re-enter the new password to verify the password you entered in the DB2 password field.
  • If you are deleting a user account name, re-enter the existing DB2 password to allow the delete to take effect.
Update system account passwordSelect this check box to update the user name and password stored in the system account.

Note The update system account password feature is not available on a DB2 server running on a Linux® platform. If you have a remote connection to DB2 on a Linux platform, the Update system account password field may display. If you attempt to select this option when you have a remote connection to DB2 on Linux, an error message appears.
