NOTES CLIENT INSTALLATION AND UPGRADE

Backing up Notes client files
Back up important IBM® Lotus® Notes® client files in case an error occurs during the upgrade process. If you experience problems, you can restore these files with the backed-up versions. Back up the Notes data directory on your server (for example, the data directory may be C:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus\Notes\data). This directory includes ID files, LOG.NSF, NAMES.NSF, MAIL.BOX, and any other Public Address Books or Domino Directories located on the server.

Back up the following files for each Notes client.

Note Depending on how Lotus Notes was installed, default directories may vary. To locate the listed files, search the Notes <install directory> hierarchy for the file names.
