Assigning dynamic policies to users and groups
You can assign users and groups to a new dynamic policy while you are creating the policy or you can assign users and groups to an existing explicit policy.

Creating and assigning a new policy

1. Make sure that you have Editor access to the IBM® Lotus® Domino® Directory and one of these roles:

2. From the Domino Administrator, click the People & Groups tab, and then click Policies.

3. Click Add Policy.

4. Under Basics, complete these fields:
FieldAction
Policy nameEnter a unique name for an explicit policy.
Policy typeChoose Explicit.
DescriptionEnter a description of the policy.
CategorySpecify a category, for example, the name of a geographical location, to further define how or where the policy is to be assigned.
5. Click the Policy Assignment tab, and then assign the policy to the appropriate users and groups.

6. Click Save and Close.

Assigning an existing explicit policy to users or groups

1. Make sure that you have Editor access to the IBM® Lotus® Domino® Directory and one of these roles:

2. From the Domino Administrator, click the People & Groups tab, and then click Policies.

3. Select the explicit policy to which you are assigning users and groups, and then click Edit Policy.

4. Click Policy Assignment, and then select the users and groups you are assigning to that policy.

5. Click Save and Close.
