MAINTAINING THE DOMINO AND DB2 ENVIRONMENT

Moving a DB2 enabled Notes database to another DB2 group
You can move a DB2 enabled IBM® Lotus® Notes® database to a new or existing IBM® DB2 Universal Database™ Enterprise Server Edition group. DB2 enabled Notes databases can be moved to an unlocked DB2 group or to DB2 group that is not full. The log file, LOG.NSF, stores a record of moved databases.

You can also move a DB2 enabled Notes database from one DB2 group to another, by dragging the DB2 enabled Notes database to the new group.

You must have Administrator rights to move a DB2 enabled Notes database to another DB2 group.

1. From the IBM® Lotus® Domino® Administrator, click the Files tab.

2. In the left panel, choose DB2 Group Name.

3. Select the database that you want to move.

4. Choose Tools - DB2 Groups - Move to Group.

5. Do one of these:

Note If you attempt to move a database and all DB2 groups are full or locked, the check box "Move databasename" is selected by default and the Group Name field is not active. Click Move and a new DB2 group is created for you. The selected database is then moved to the new DB2 group. The new DB2 group is automatically added to the class named DEFAULT.

6. Press F9 to display the results of the move.
