MAINTAINING THE DOMINO AND DB2 ENVIRONMENT

Changing or deleting the default DB2 user name for use with query views
The default IBM® DB2 Universal Database™ Enterprise Server Edition user name must be unique. IBM® Lotus® Domino® uses the default DB2 user name to access query views in DB2 databases. When you specify a default DB2 user name, Domino verifies that the default DB2 user name is not the same as the Domino server user name. Domino checks the names at server startup and if these two users match, the following message appears:
The default user mapping rules then apply. If an IBM® Lotus® Notes® user who does not have an explicit DB2 user mapping attempts to access a query view, the default DB2 user name is used if available.

Complete these steps to edit or delete the default DB2 user name.

1. From the Domino Administrator, click the Configuration tab.

2. From the Tools panel, click DB2 Server - Edit Default DB2 User.

3. Enter the DB2 default user name.

4. Click to enable the check box Use default query view user on this server. When you enable this setting, Domino uses the name you specify in the DB2 default user name field as the default DB2 user for mapping, and updates the information in the Server document.

5. Click OK.
