MAINTAINING THE DOMINO AND DB2 ENVIRONMENT

Moving a DB2 container to another disk
If you are working with a configuration on Microsoft® Windows®, you can move a IBM® DB2 Universal Database™ Enterprise Server Edition container from one disk to another disk. If you are working with UNIX®, you can move a DB2 container from one volume to another volume. The Move Container feature is useful for controlling how much disk space on a particular server is used by DB2 containers. The Move Container feature is enabled when you have selected a DB2 Group in the DB2 Groups panel on the left side of the IBM® Lotus® Domino® Administrator client.

If you are using a remote configuration, the Move Container dialog box does not contain any disk or volume information unless you have a DB2 Access server installed.

When you choose the Move Container feature on the Tools menu, an attempt is made to retrieve the disk or volume information as follows:

You must be a server administrator to use this feature.

1. From the Domino Administrator, click Files.

2. Click DB2 Groups on the left panel of the Domino Administrator client, and then select the DB2 Group you are moving.

3. Click Tools - DB2 Group - Move Container.

4. Do one of these:

5. Click Move.
