Creating a Lotus Symphony settings document
Use the Symphony settings document to define whether users can use IBM® Lotus® Symphony™ (previously named IBM Lotus Productivity Tools) and to designate which files and templates they can use. Lotus Symphony consist of the Lotus Symphony Presentations editor, Lotus Symphony Documents word processing editor, and Lotus Symphony Spreadsheets editor. These tools enable you to create presentations, rich text documents, and spreadsheets using the OpenDocument Format (ODF). Import and export filters support the Microsoft ® Office and OpenDocument (ODF) formats.

Users can optionally install the Symphony editors during Notes installation. They can open the editors using the Symphony shortcuts on their desktop or by opening an ODF format file.

Note Symphony policy settings are not supported by IBM® Lotus® Domino® Web Access

1. Make sure that you have Editor access to the IBM® Lotus® Domino® Directory and one of these roles:

2. From the Domino Administrator, select the People & Groups tab, and then open the Settings view.

3. Click "Add Settings," and then choose Symphony Settings.

4. On the Basics tab, complete these fields, and then click Save and Close.
