CONFIGURING WIDGETS AND LIVE TEXT

Creating a features and plugins deployment widget in the widget catalog
You can create a widget to assist in managing new feature deployment and update provisioning on the client based on policy or preferences. You can use the Getting Started with Widgets wizard option "Features and Plugins" option to simplifying the process of creating a widget to deploy a client plug-in.

Note If you are creating a widget that you'll use to deploy a plug-in, see topic "Deploying client plug-ins with widgets and the widget catalog." Also see "Configuring a new Features and Plugin widget" in Notes help.

Note If you are creating widgets for Live Text and gadget-like purposes, such as Google Gadget®, Feeds, Notes-based, or Web-based widgets, use the widget configuration wizards available in both the My Widgets sidebar and the Widgets toolbar. You can display these user interface items by click File - Preferences - Widgets and enabling the "Show Widget toolbar and the My Widgets side bar panel" option.
