Setting DB2 Log File Size
For this release of IBM® Lotus® Domino® and IBM® DB2 Universal Database™ Enterprise Server Edition, you need to set the DB2 log file size. You can specify these values as you would any DB2 configuration settings by using either the DB2 Control Center, or by using the DB2 Command Line Processor (CLP).

For example, from the DB2 CLP, enter a command similar to the following:


Recomended DB2 log settings

The recommended DB2 log file settings are as follows:

For low traffic workloads, use the default setting, ~28MB
Log file size (4KB)(LOGFILSIZ) = 1000
Number of primary log files(LOGPRIMARY) = 5
Number of secondary log filesLOGSECOND) = 2

For mid-traffic workloads, the suggested setting is ~240MB
Log file size (4KB)(LOGFILSIZ) = 4000
Number of primary log files(LOGPRIMARY) = 10
Number of secondary log files(LOGSECOND) = 5

For high-traffic workloads, the suggested setting is ~480MB
Log file size (4KB)(LOGFILSIZ) = 8000
Number of primary log files(LOGPRIMARY) = 10
Number of secondary log files(LOGSECOND) = 5
